Now we know why when back in the month of March the Pentagon Ordered Hundreds Of Military Families To Evacuate Turkey. They no doubt knew what was on the horizon.
Now today it appears as reported by RT, that Turkey is undergoing a military coup and the government has been overthrown. There is no word on Erdogen, however it was known that he would be vacationing in the southern part of the country.
It makes me wonder whether or not Erdogen knew about the coup as well. He did just apologize to Russia for the downing of their military jet and has attempted to normalize relations with Putin.
Turkey’s government appears to have been overthrown in a coup, as the military claimed taking control over the country. President Recep Erdogan is reportedly on vacation in the southern Turkish resort town of Bodrum.
“Turkish Armed Forces have completely taken over the administration of the country to reinstate constitutional order, human rights and freedoms, the rule of law and the general security that was damaged,” the military said in a statement. We hope that all of our good relationships with all countries will continue.”
